Cures

The most alarming experience in most parenting support groups are the many “therapies” that have been recommended for my son, based on the assumption that his neurotype is a problem to be fixed. This mistaken view of autism is underscored by a lack of proper societal support or education about neurodivergence, and worsened by popular conspiracy theories. Destigmatizing autism and providing adequate support to autistic children and families is crucial to keeping us all safe and healthy.
